COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course examines concepts, tools, and techniques used in the management and measurement of
quality in manufacturing and service organizations. Topics include total quality control and management,
employee involvement in quality, team building for quality, quality cultures, quality function deployment
and national and international standards.

TEXTBOOK: Quality Management, David Goetsch and Stanley Davis,
Prentice Hall, Third Edition 2000.
PREQUISITES: IME 461: Quality Assurance and Control and
IME 455: Management of People Systems.
